Puppy Play and Learn
For puppies 8 to 17 weeks - Drop into my Puppy Play and learn for early social skills, new experiences, and prepare your puppy for real life! Get valuable information on raising your puppy, build the foundation for the best future behavior and ask questions about anything and everything.
EVERY SATURDAY AT 9 AM
-
$10 per visit - no registration required
(*FREE FOR CVHS ADOPTERS of PUPS 8-16 WKS)
If your puppy is OLDER than 17 weeks consider Real Life Puppy (see below)
Note: Your puppy's first Critical fear period (where dogs decide for life what they are afraid of) first start between 10-16 weeks. During this time your dog should get out there, see people and experience new things every day.
Studies prove, early social skills create dogs that are less likely to be given up, less likely to bite and are better pets overall.
Real Life Puppy ($125 for 5 weeks)
The next step after Play and Learn and for puppies 4 to 7 months – Take that next step and combine play, social skills and basic beginner, obedience with life challenges! I'll show you proper play, leash skills and: sit, down, stay, no pulling, no jumping, wait, come and drop it! All while moving you away from punishment and focusing on positive reinforcement.
When? Saturday, February 25 to March 24 - 10 am

Thursday, February 23 to March 22 - 6:15 pm
Real Life 1 ($125 for 5 weeks)
For beginner (adult) or 8 months and up - This beginner class is great for newly adopted dogs and young dogs that missed out on early training. Much like our puppy class (above) but geared towards adolescent to adult dogs. Again, I teach the basics (sit, down, stay, wait, no pulling, no jumping, drop it, come, and heel) along with REAL LIFE situations with other dogs, people, visitors, and how to handle conflict. All positive, reward based training, of course!
When? Saturday, February 25 to March 24 - 12 noon
Puppy 2 and Real Life 2 ($125 for 5 weeks)
For graduates of Real Life Puppy and RL1 - This intermediate level class does not include play, but is for you if your puppy graduated from real life puppy and your adult dog is not a beginner! I help you polish up what your dog has already learned, get a better heel, a better stay, a better come and begin off leash work. Puppies get to mingle (properly) with adult dogs and learn self control.
When? Saturday,February 25 to March 24 at 11 am
MANNERS ON THE MOVE ($145 for 5 weeks)
A class on the go, for those of us that take our dogs everywhere (or would like to) We visit a pet store, veterinary office, trails and different places all in the real world. All while working on real life skills like; heel, off leash recall, leave it and dog to dog greetings!
When? Watch for this class in early spring - First class At Club Canine! The rest are on the road!!
COOL NEW STUFF!!
Beginning K9 Nose Work ($100 for 5 weeks)
A great, new, naturally fun way to "give your dog a job," have fun or eventually compete without the need for any real commands, the need for you to run all over or the need to buy any equipment. Join the fun, allow your dog to do what they do naturally and well. Using the nose to "find it" and see how far you can go together.
When?
Condo Canine - $145 for 5 weeks
If you live in a Condo, gated neighborhood, trailer park or Managed community - Chances are you and your dog live with or very close to other dogs! AND, chances are there are dogs you don't like, that don't like you or you have problems inside the condo.
It's hard for dogs to live in close proximity and NEVER meet, not get along, and see each other every day. But it can happen!
This class can start WHENEVER we get 5 participants and offers discounts if we get 10! I come to you and teach you and your neighbors HOW to limit reactive behavior, walk better on leash, how to meet other dogs properly and even change or eliminate what most call aggression! We will make sure you are using the proper equipment, discuss poop clean up, and teach the following commands:"Leave It, Go Say Hi, I've Got It, With Me and Heel."
When? Let's plan it together!!
Toe Nail Trauma Recovery
Do you have a dog that "freaks out" when you try to cut his or her nails, does the vet HAVE to do it for you (and even make you leave the room)? There is no reason why such a simple task has to be SOOO traumatic and dramatic. Meet with me and take the time to understand what happens when you struggle, how a dog learns and how to change EVERYTHING.
We can meet according to YOUR schedule, take the time YOUR dog needs, and start with an individualized plan to change the way your dog "feels" about a toe nail trim. 5 weeks / 10 visits $15 per visit ($150 total or $125 if paid in advance).
