Toe Nail Trauma

Can you cut your dogs toe nails?? Has your dog been "quicked" by a groomer or the vet or YOU.  Did someone suggest a headlock grip and wait for your dog to "give up" in order to get their toenails clipped? YIKES!!

There is a better way!!

Any trainer will tell you that all it takes is one bad experience and a dog remembers (FOREVER) what happened.  Yet it seems like we need THOUSANDS of good experiences for a dog to believe it will be ok...well, YOU ARE RIGHT!

With patience, consistency, repetition and positive reinforcement you can take a scary, nail trim and turn it into a tolerable even "no big deal" event. And, you can get help doing it.

Even if you never want to do it we can change your dogs "toe nail" experience for life!

Stop by CLUB CANINE on ROBERT AVE in Portsmouth and learn why forcing the issue doesn't work, holding your dog in a death grip is the main reason for the fear, get tips on how to get it right and TRAIN your dog to accept his nails being CLIPPED.

With a theraputic approach we will re-train, re associate, and change the behavior...and slowly but surely, trim your dogs nails!
